I've been a petrolhead all my life, into computers since the early days of home computing, "online" since 1986 and creating web sites since 1994!
From building a kit car, owning and working on classic and sports cars to competing in rallies, sprints and hill climbs.
In later years a key part of the Kop Hill Climb Entrants Team organising static display and hill climb vehicles and drivers, creating and running booking systems and club and owner communications.
More recently founding the Hellfire Motor Vehicle Club and Coffee & Conrods then co-founding Men with Machines CIC to run vehicle meets and navigational rallies.
Founding the Association of Motor Vehicle Event Organisers(AMVEO) in 2023 provided a framework to help create safe motoring events.
Throughout my working life I have been a programme manager, project or product manager. Starting life as a cartographer I moved into pub and cafe management and development before moving into information technology.

Having taken on the vehicular entries at Kop Hill Climb in 2011 and helped in other roles until stepping down in 2023 along with other volunteers received the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2020.
